A very private party for two, thanks to the pandemic. Accompanied by a non-classic cheese fondue, lots of drinks, and lots of vintage music.
For starters:
Dry Martini w/ Ki No Bi Kyōto Dry Gin, Noilly Prat French Dry Vermouth, Lemon Zest (no Yuzu during the pandemic, sorry about that).
Opening album: Adore by Smashing Pumpkins
Next:
1998 Félix Solís Diego de Almagro Crianza. Quite a gamble, but held up for one glass, almost port-ish, before it crumbled.
Goes with: Godzilla: The Album 1998
Into the Night:
Ki No Bi Kyōto Dry Gin w/ Fever-Tree Indian Premium, Lemon Slice
Perfect fit with: Is This Desire? by P. J. Harvey
The Stars My Destination:
Aviation American Gin w/Fever-Tree Indian Premium, Lemon Slice
Dreaming with: Without You I’m Nothing by Placebo
Approaching the Event Horizon:
Bombay Sapphire (the Original at 47%, not the watered-down hot crap they sell around here in Europe) w/ Thomas Henry, Lemon Slice
Levitating with: Portishead by Portishead
I’m Not Here, This Isn’t Happening:
Sibona Grappa di Barolo
Landing on Water with: Kid A by Radiohead
