Datenschutz bei Kommentaren
Beim Einstellen eines Kommentars wird neben dem anzugebenden Namen und der anzugebenden E-Mail-Adresse auch die aktuelle IP-Adresse des ausgehenden Computers automatisch vom WordPress-Backend gespeichert. Ein entsprechender Hinweis findet sich in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft des Kommentarfelds.
Das Abonnieren von Kommentaren
Das Abonnieren von Kommentaren ist, um Mißbrauch vorzubeugen, nur via Double-Opt-in-Verfahren möglich. Dabei wird eine E-Mail versendet, von der aus das Abonnement mit dem Klick auf einen Link bestätigt werden muß. Hat der oder die Empfängerin der Bestätigungs-E-Mail das Kommentar-Abonnement nicht angefordert, muß sie gar nichts tun, um keine weitere E-Mail von betweendrafts.com zu erhalten.
Kommentarpolitik
Da ich zum einen eine intelligente und lebhafte Kommentarkultur anstrebe, zum anderen aber nur äußerst ungern zur Zensur greife, gilt folgender Drei-Stufen-Plan:
- Bei anonymen Kommentaren mit milden Verstößen gegen die Netiquette behalte ich mir in Einzelfällen vor, dem Kommentar einen Verfassernamen zuzuweisen, der Form und Inhalt des Kommentars allgemeinverständlich repräsentiert.
- Bei schweren Verstößen gegen die Netiquette behalte ich mir in Einzelfällen vor, den entsprechenden Kommentar einer schnellen und schmerzlosen Entvokalisierung zu unterziehen.
- Bei wiederholten schweren Verstößen gegen die Netiquette behalte ich mir vor, der entsprechenden Person mit den mir zur Verfügung stehenden technischen Mitteln das Recht auf Nutzung der Kommentarfunktion zu entziehen und sie nebst informativer Anmerkungen in die Katakomben zu verbannen.
Dies alles berührt natürlich nicht Kommentare mit ordnungs- oder strafrechtlich relevanten Inhalten: Diese werden von mir umgehend gelöscht, sobald ich davon Kenntnis erhalte.

Comment subscriptions are processed via double opt-in to avoid abuse and comply with anti-spam regulations. If you subscribe to comment notifications, you are then sent an email to the same email address you used for subscribing. That email has a link in it, which you are asked to click on if you really do want to subscribe. In case someone else used your email address, and you neither want to subscribe nor receive any more emails from betweendrafts.com, you don’t have to do anything.
Blog Comments Policy
Since I’m all for a lively, intelligent discussion and exchange of ideas with the least amount of censorship, the following three-step plan is in effect:
- For minor transgression of netiquette by anonymous commenters I reserve the right to allocate a user name of my choosing to the comment in question, representative of its form and content in a generally understandable way.
- For serious transgression of netiquette I reserve the right, in individual cases, to quickly and painlessly disemvowel the comment in question.
- For repeated serious transgression of netiquette I reserve the right to try and dispossess the subject in question—with all the technical means at my disposal—of the right to leave comments on my blog, and send him or her to the dungeons along with an edifying comment.
Comments, of course, which constitute a civil or criminal offense remain unaffected by these rules. They are not tolerated and deleted as soon as they come to my attention.
