After having watched Inception for either the fourth or fifth time in the theater and having read tons of stuff about it, I’m well aware that adding fresh and interesting thoughts would need preparation and research as if for a treatise or paper to illuminate hitherto unassessed angles. I’d love to do that, but as I don’t have the time, alas, all I can offer here are some tidbits of yore.
Back in 2010 and 2013, I wrote three blog posts about Inception:
- A post about the winner and runner-ups of the Inception Infographic Contest. Also, dreydls!
- A post about antagonist and impact character in Inception, of which the most interesting thing is the terrific discussion I had with Jim Hull in the comments section.
- A brief post about the “Inception Tool” for breaking into a disk-encrypted suspended or screen-locked computer system.
Finally, does anyone remember the (long defunct) Inception app, one of the most awesomest apps ever to grace the iPhone? I still miss walking around with it and having Inception’s music and soundscapes react to my actions, environments, and GPS locations. It was like a dream come true, all puns intended!
