✅ The Ents are evil.
✅ Cinematography and sound design are top.
❌ Not all assembled horror elements and motifs to support its theme fit together coherently.
❌ Dramatic structure and cut seem off but it’s the screenplay—it knows its waypoints and where it wants to go but fudges the routes in between to get there; is often repetitive; and never surprises.
Plus, everybody needs to (re-)act perpetually dense to keep the theme in limbo.
