Return to Silent Hill by Christophe Gans

❌ The script mangles crucial story elements and characters for mainstream trim without creating a coherent movie.

❌ Terrible dialogues—against which Resident Evil games appear Shakespearean—meet poor acting.

❌ The cinematography fails to pull you in and special effects remain undistinguished at best.

Mostly, I was bored. You can’t bring Silent Hill’s unmatched visceral terror to the screen without translating it into a language of terror native to film.

Return to Silent Hill by Christophe Gans, 2026.
