Bach, C\u00e9sar Franck, and Norbert Laufer (also in attendance).<\/p>\n<p>Laufer\u2019s \u00bbTempus fugit\u00ab, an organ suite in seven parts, in the center; sandwiched between Bach\u2019s Ciacona in d minor BWV 1178 and Ciacona in g minor BWV 1179; sandwiched in turn between Bach\u2019s Praeludium et Fuga in a minor BWV 531 and Franck\u2019s Choral No.3 in a minor from his \u00ab&nbsp;Trois chorals pour grande orgue&nbsp;\u00bb. Very exciting.<\/p>\n<p>Bach\u2019s two ciaconas are fun. While the Preludium et Fuga BWV 543, dated around 1710, is already a pretty early and lively work, the two ciaconas are even earlier, written down in 1705 by one of his students. They\u2019ve been known for decades, but got their seal of approval\u2014and official BWV numbers\u2014as authentic works by Bach only as recently as November last year. Congratulations!
